Hackensack. That’s where this begins — not as a business decision, but as a birthplace. I was born here. So was my son. Whatever Vigilant Coffee is, it was always going to be here.
Why We Exist
We believe great coffee is not a luxury. It’s what hardworking people deserve at the start of a hard day. The nurse finishing a night shift. The officer heading into a long one. The teacher, the tradesman, the small business owner who hasn’t stopped moving since 6am.

Single-origin. Nothing blended, nothing hidden. Every bag tells you exactly where it came from and why it matters. Traceability isn’t a marketing angle for us — it’s a standard. We think you deserve to know what you’re drinking.
